The Benefits of Primers

I used to be one of those women that applied their makeup without prepping their skin. To be honest, I really didn’t know I had to apply anything on my skin before putting on my makeup! I’m embarrassed to admit, I didn’t know primers existed! Thank God, I finally learned the benefits of primers! If you haven’t been using makeup primer, then you’re really missing out!

 

The Benefits of Primers:

 

For starters, primers work on all skin types. It prevents your makeup from melting away because it decreases sweating. Primers also help smooth fine lines and wrinkles. It conceals the appearance of large pores, acne and reduces redness on your skin. Best of all, it softens your skin, eliminate shine, creates a smooth base for foundation and makes your makeup last throughout the day!

 

My Review:

Because I have oily skin I use an oil free Anti-aging face primer with moisturizer from Amazing Cosmetics. They claim it is infused with vitamin E-antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and nourishing plant extract, Cassia Angustifolia Seed: which is a  natural botanical high in content of polysaccharides that mimics the skin’s hyaluronic acid to increase skin’s moisture, repair and protect. I really love the way it holds my makeup in place for a long period of time. It minimizes my fine lines, feels lightweight on my skin and not greasy at all!

  5. I think face primers are amazing! They provide an excellent base for applying makeup. I have yet to try the one from Amazing cosmetics, but I have read such fab reviews on it.

  10. I always get the ‘you look flawless’ comment and I have my great primer to thank for that. I use one from Benefit cosmetics and love it to death. Great post. Primers will sure have your makeup looking fresh for hours and hours. I while ago I didn’t use them either and wondered why I needed to reapp or retouch every so often. It’s a life saver :))).
