In addition to cardio, pilates exercises is a perfect workout to stay fit. Pilates exercises typically involves the use of specially designed resistance training. Resistance training is an exercise which your muscles contracts against an external resistance such as a device or your own body weight. Pilates exercises focuses on toning the core muscles in the back, abdomen and buttock. It concentrates controlling movement flow, breathing and flexibility. The moves may look easy, but they take a lot of correctness and control. Resistance training through pilates exercises will make you stronger, sculpts your muscles, gain flexibility. In addition, it will give you better posture and a healthier sense of well-being.
Pilates Exercises Helps Improve
- your core,
- your upper legs,
- your glutes as you work on moves that stabilize your core,
- stabilizes and strengthens your back,
- strengthens your abs.
My Workout Routine:
When I do pilates exercises I use my comfy FlöAthletika Ultra-Grip Premium Yoga Towel. I really like using this towel because it has a silicone design underneath it which prevents me from slipping when I am doing a yoga or pilate pose. After working out I throw the towel into my washing machine. I like that I am able to do this because it prevents the towel from collecting dirt and bacteria. But if I decide to use a mat later on I plan to put the towel on top of it to prevent from this happening! Also the towel dries up quickly because it’s super absorbent when it’s wet.
One of my favorite pilates devices to use is the Mantra Sports SuperFit Circle. This device is a flexible circle which compress as a resistance for strengthening my arms, stomach and legs. This affordable, easy to follow, SuperFit Circle comes with a clear large instructional pamphlet. The pamphlet displays a large amount of workout tutorials with images for beginners, intermediate and advance positioning.
Pilates Equipment
- pilates circle,
- pilates towel and/or mat,
- pilates machine,
- pilates table,
- pilates chair,
- exercise ball,
- exercise band.
Finally after a good long workout all I want to do is jump in the shower and get rid of my aches and pain. Because the hot water doesn’t completely relieve all of my soreness I simply use my new . This muscle stick is a self massager that pin points the tension and achy areas around my body because it contours to it. I don’t need to find someone around the house to give me a message anymore because the Muscle Stick Roller is long enough to target those hard to reach areas on my body like my back and neck. The only downside is the middle part is made of plastic and would prefer for it to be made out of rubber. But in all it is easy to use and I really like the handles that have a builtin firm grip that is extremely comfortable when applying force to my body.
I enjoy cardio fitness but Pilate is helps with posture.
