New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 Recap

Givenchy collection is describe as serene sense of celebration and coming of age. Spelled out and repeated almost-calligraphic black and white variations of the same sentences such as, ivory slip dresses and rouleau-strapped camisoles with lace edges, worn over tailored black, crepe tuxedo jackets with tails, soft kimono coats, and transparent organdy trenches and body-skimming sparkly silver shifts.
Alexander Wang collection had a rock feeling to it. The models wore tees and sweats, which benefited the organization’s youth and social change efforts. There were fringed leather pieces, deconstructed denim, army surplus separates, pajama silks, slip dresses, and one shrunken satin bomber jacket.
