Altuzarra, New York, Fashion Week S/S'16 Recap

 Joseph Altuzarra, researched his Spanish heritage with this Spring/Summer collection. He describes it as very serene, about the beauty of materials which are close to nature, like linen, cotton and burlap; things which are not fussy, and meant to look wrinkled. 


Victoria Beckham, New York, Fashion Week S/S'16 Recap

Victoria Beckham, describes her Spring/Summer collection as having attitude, fresh and carefree. She was inspired by her travels between LA, London and New York. she designed pieces of surf prints, just-above-the-ankle midi lengths, swing dresses, and backless loafer flats. The clothes read as sophisticated and expensive.

Givenchy, New York Fashion, Week S/S'16 Recap  

Givenchy collection is describe as serene sense of celebration and coming of age. Spelled out and repeated almost-calligraphic black and white variations of the same sentences such as, ivory slip dresses and rouleau-strapped camisoles with lace edges, worn over tailored black, crepe tuxedo jackets with tails, soft kimono coats, and transparent organdy trenches and body-skimming sparkly silver shifts.


Diane von Furstenberg

 Diane von Furstenberg  inspiration was from the Roman goddess of luck. The models wore their hair behind their ears, exactly the way Von Furstenberg did in her younger days. Her designs were of  metallic lamé suede, butterfly embroidery, patch worked floral-print dresses in short and long varieties.  

Alexander Wang, New York Fashion Week  

Alexander Wang collection had a rock feeling to it. The models wore tees and sweats, which benefited the organization’s youth and social change efforts. There were fringed leather pieces, deconstructed denim, army surplus separates, pajama silks, slip dresses, and one shrunken satin bomber jacket.


Jason Wu, New York Fashion Week 

Jason Wu designed a glamorous collection filled with beautiful trench coats, edgy ruffled on the dresses,vibrant floral print halter dresses and tons of fluttering necklines.
