If you are looking for a more natural way to dye your hair it is best to use products that are made from Henna. Henna is a plant, with leaves that are harvested, dried and grounded into powder. This powder is then created into a paste to dye your hair. Many people that use Henna hair dye products like it better because it is gentler on their hair. Also, it stimulate hair growth, conditions and strengthen the scalp.
Henna hair dye works well with all hair types. It is healthier to use Henna hair dye vs traditional hair dye because many people are allergic to traditional hair dye ingredients. These harmful ingredients irritate the scalp, skin and can even cause severe health issues. In addition, many traditional hair dyes can change the biological composition of the hair, which can damage your hair. One of my favorite natural hair dye is Gray Away Enhanced Henna by Treasured locks. This product won’t damage your hair or scalp because it is made from Henna and has small amount of traditional dye to cover those stubborn grays.
Other Benefits From Gray Away Enhanced Henna:
- cruelty free
- peroxide free
- ammonia free
- pesticides free
More Natural Hair Dye To Remove Your Gray Away
I prefer using more natural products that is less harmful for me. Gray Away Enhanced Henna was easy to prepare and use. All I needed to do was add the mixture into a bowl. First, I added hot tap water into the powder mix and blended it throughly. Then for better coverage, I added 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and brewed black tea to the mixture. After everything was all blended I applied it to the top area of my head where I have gray hair. I left it on my hair for about 45 minutes then washed it off completel
I was really impressed with the final results Gray Away Enhanced Henna left because it took away my gray hair. This dye made my hair feel silky soft to the touch, unlike the traditional hair dyes which made my hair dull and my scalp itchy.
Sounds lovely!
I will lookout for this dye. I’m one of those girls who were blessed with grey hair from a very young age. I plan to dye my hair this year, more as a fashion accessory though than covering up.
My brother and nephew started getting grays at the age of 18.
This is a great idea! I never thought of using henna before! Always good to find a more natural way that doesn’t damage your hair!
I love finding and using more natural products 😀
I have never heard of this brand before but if it covers greys then count me in! Thanks for the info!
It sure does and I love it is a more natural hair product than the traditional ones. 😀
I will have to look into these henna hair dyes. I dye mine regularly, to keep the gray away, so it’s about every 6-8 weeks. Would be nice to be able to use a more natural and less harsh way of handling the gray.
I know exactly what you mean. This one of the reasons I wanted to use more natural products 🙂
This looks interesting. Will have to check out sometime. I never notice my gray anymore since I bleached my hair out so it all blends in. Hair dye is so bad for hair thinning and good to have products like this.
I agree with you Tina! Traditional hair dye is very harmful and damages our hair.
Looks like it worked well for you. Natural is better, that’s for sure. There are so many bad things in so many products we use these days.
Totally agree with you, Bonnie! There are so many things added to many products we use now-a-day that are bad for us.
Interesting. I’ve never heard of a natural hair dye. I used to dye my hair a lot but I stopped a few years ago.
I used to dye my hair different colors in my teens and early 20’s but stopped in the late 20’s. I starting dying it again once I started getting grays on top of my head in my 30’s to match my natural color.
I’m going to tell my fiance about this as she’s always looking for this type of stuff, but haven’t seen any for hair.
I think she will love it 🙂
I’ve heard of Henna dye already but haven’t tried it out. However, I am willing to try out more natural options so thanks!! ?
You’re welcome Katrina! Glad I was able to help out 😀
This is interesting. I am going to show it to my wife. She is always looking for new hair dye.
Thank you Jim! Hope she likes it 🙂
Great products to get rid of grays. Awesome review. May your New Year be filled with blessing
Thank you Jackie! Happy New Years to you too 😀
I have been looking for a healthier alternative to hair dye. How long did it last?
I’m hoping at least a month or more. I just dyed my hair a couple of days ago so I’m not sure.
Cool! I hadn’t realized they made hair dye with henna – I love how it doesn’t have so many of the usual toxic chemicals in it.
I love that too Brandi!
Would love to try this natural hair dye sometime. Hope this is locally available.
I am definitely pleased with the results! 🙂
Natural is always the way to go! Especially with hair dye! Very cool!
It sure is Kait 😀
Oh very interesting. I always try to use natural products if possible.
Same here Jasmine 😀
love that this is henna! Thanks for such easy to follow advice.
You’re welcome Amanda 😀
Sounds like a very interesting product. I haven’t heard of this before.
It really is great Jenni 🙂
Henna is such an age old technique we use in India. I like it a lot and if you use the traditional Indian Henna for a long time, it makes your hair kind of dark brown.
This is a very nice way to dye hair since henna is used for centuries and so. Must be very good because it persists till today, as a natural way to do it. Happy 2017! I hope you have an amazing year!
Thank you Denise! Happy New Year to you too 😀
What a wonderful way to dye your hair!! I am wondering though, does it give you a darker color than what you choose?
I don’t think so but it is hard for me to be 100% sure because the dye I use is black which is my hair color.
Awesome! I wasn’t sure what henna was, but I have heard it is more natural! Thanks for the info! 🙂
Glad to be able to share it with you 😀
I’m almost 37 years old and I really need to cover up the grays. This is something that I can really use!
Yes, it is amazing! 🙂
This is a game changer! Love natural vs chemical.
Yes it is! 🙂
This sounds like a great product for me. I am always nervous though, that my hair will end up darker than I want. Is that a concern with this product?
It depends what color you are looking for. My hair is black so it work perfect for me.
Because of the texture of my hair, henna is hard for me to use. But thanks for sharing.
I was told it works on all hair types.
I’ve heard about henna before. I just thought was only for semi permanent tattoos. Definitely interesting to find out can use it for hair dye as well.
Yes, they do it for hair dye for sure 🙂
