We all have seen the popular trend of contouring and highlighting your face by celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Tamar Braxton and tons of makeup artist on social media pages like Instagram. Many of us want to know how to contour and highlight our faces because it enhances our features by making them pop out.
Tips On Contouring And Highlighting Your Face:
Basically, highlighting certain areas of your face simply draws light to that specific area of your face. In order to do this you need to use a foundation 2-3 shades lighter than your skin tone. Firstly, start by applying inverted triangles underneath your eyes and center of your forehead, between your eyebrows. You then draw a straight line down the bridge of your nose. You can also apply some more on your chin area going across your ear. If you like, add some on top of your lip and underneath your brows to enhance those features. I love using the Perfection Sticks from Amazing cosmetics which I got for free in return for an honest review because they are light blendable, easy to use, makes my skin look flawless and natural.(Disclaimer: please note even though I received these products for free all opinions are my own). These sticks come in 4 different shades, perfect to highlight and contour your face. Contouring certain areas of your face will help bring shadow to the areas you apply it by making them look smaller and define. In order to do this you need to use a foundation 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone. First, apply the foundation around your forehead close to your hairline, across your jawline, down to your chin and the hallows of your cheekbones. Then draw the same lines on the other side. Next, draw a straight line down the side of your nose, in between your highlighting and around the tip of your nose towards your eyebrows. Repeat the same on the other side. What I also love about the Perfection Sticks it hides imperfections, makes it easier to highlight and contour areas like the bridge of your nose, underneath your eyebrows, your inner eyes, lip and cheekbones.
